Overview about Economy
Vietnamese Government has been efforted to bring into full play its international strengths, boost international integration and cooperation, in close association with national industrialization and modernization.
The economy has experienced rapid growth. In 2016, Vietnam is the 47th-largest economy in the world measured by nominal gross domestic product (GDP) and 35th-largest economy in the world measured by purchasing power parity (PPP).
The country is a participation of many Trade Organizations, such as The World Trade Organization (WTO), The Asean Free Trade Area (AFTA), The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Asean Economic Community (AEC) and The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
Almost all Vietnamese enterprises are small and medium enterprises. Vietnam has become a leading agricultural exporter and served as an attractive destination for foreign investment in Southeast Asia.
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and GDP Growth have been increased considerably in the recent year.
